My family owns a biopharmaceutical lab in Shanghai, and I initially dreamed of a career in bioengineering before majoring in theater. I enjoy lab experiments, which inspire my art. I discovered that the protein map from western blotting resembles audio tracks in music production. This led me to the idea of converting protein maps into music that represents life forms.

Farewell my concubineAs a theater artist grappling with gender identity at UCLA, I've created an interactive installation inspired by the Huadan character from "Farewell My Concubine." This project shares my journey, using traditional art to challenge gender stereotypes. Through live interaction, I aim to promote understanding and acceptance of all gender identities, fostering inclusivity and equality.
